During the civil rights movement, Mass Meetings were gatherings of faith leaders in churches where they would plan and mobilize their next non-violent direct action. In the spirit of the Mass Meetings, the Park hopes to provide a space for grace for un-churched activists to experience a spiritual community where they can love and be loved, getting the spiritual nurture they need for a lifetime of sustainable activism. At this meeting we will hear from Ravi Ragbir. Ravi is an immigrant rights activist and organizer who serves as the Executive Director of the New Sanctuary Coalition of New York, where he works directly with those who are facing deportation to empower them in the struggle to remain in the US.
